WhatsApp, a widely used messaging platform, currently allows users to connect four additional devices for free, both on WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business. According to a WaBetaInfo report, this may soon change as WhatsApp is looking to introduce a paid subscription for the WhatsApp Business account.
The paid subscription will allow WhatsApp Business users to connect up to 10 devices to a single WhatsApp account, making it easier for businesses to connect with their customers as multiple employees will be able to access the same account on their phones. The Linked Device feature works even when the main phone isn’t connected to a network. It can be accessed on multiple platforms such as computers, tablets, and laptops, apart from smartphones.
At the moment, it is not known if the subscription brings other features to the account. With subscription plans being introduced, nothing changes for users and the app will always be free to use. The subscription plan is totally optional and offers additional services for business accounts. The cost and subscription period are still unclear, whether it is a yearly or a monthly subscription plan.
