Bengaluru: Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, a part of Wipro Enterprises, has announced a major leadership transition as Vineet Agrawal, CEO and MD, prepares to retire in January 2026 after a distinguished 40-year career with the company. Kumar Chander, currently President – Southeast Asia and Yardley India, has been appointed to succeed him as CEO and MD, effective February 1, 2026.
Vineet Agrawal, who took charge in 2002, has been instrumental in transforming Wipro Consumer Care into a global FMCG powerhouse. Under his leadership, the company expanded from a ₹300 crore India-centric business to a ₹10,600 crore multinational enterprise with a presence in over 60 countries. He spearheaded 15 strategic acquisitions and elevated Santoor into one of India’s top soap brands.

Azim Premji, Chairman of Wipro Enterprises, lauded Vineet’s contribution, stating, “He has played a defining role in shaping Wipro Consumer Care into a globally respected business. His understanding of people, culture, and long-term value creation has left a lasting legacy.”
Incoming CEO Kumar Chander has been with Wipro for over three decades and has a strong track record in building international markets, notably leading the brand to become No. 1 in Malaysia’s personal care segment. The leadership transition will be gradual, with Kumar working alongside Vineet from October 2025 to ensure continuity.
Commenting on his new role, Kumar said, “It is an honour to lead Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting. I look forward to building on the foundation laid by Vineet and working with our global teams to drive purposeful growth.”
This appointment reflects Wipro’s long-term focus on leadership continuity and business stability as it enters its next phase of global growth.
