London: YouGov, a global leader in data and analytics, has announced the appointment of Michelle Gelman as Chief Data Officer, a newly created and strategic leadership role aimed at accelerating the company’s growth and innovation initiatives.
In this capacity, Gelman will lead the development of YouGov’s data portfolio, overseeing the design, collection, and analysis of its extensive proprietary longitudinal data set to ensure its quality, consistency, and strategic value across the organization. Her appointment marks a major milestone in YouGov’s continued evolution, strengthening how data is gathered, interpreted, and applied to help clients better understand consumer behavior, attitudes, and insights.
Recently named to Adweek’s inaugural “Innovator 50” and recognized as a Top Woman in Media and AdTech 2024, Gelman brings extensive experience across media, technology, advertising, agency, and e-commerce sectors. Most recently, she led end-to-end product management at Nielsen, overseeing some of its highest-value assets, including the Nielsen TV Ratings. Earlier in her career, she held senior positions in product and data science at Nielsen, where she contributed to innovations such as out-of-home media exposure measurement and census data integrations for local television.
