Chennai: Leading Tamil General Entertainment Channel (GEC) – Zee Tamil is all set to add on to the festive fervour of Tamil New Year and enthral fans of entertainment with the announcement of special shows that are set to be telecasted over the weekend exclusively on Zee Tamil and Zee Tamil HD
The celebrations are set to begin on April 14th with ‘Natchathira Kondattam’ at 9:00 AM that will bring together the leading fiction show stars of Zee Tami for a fun-filled show. At 11:00 AM, don’t miss the telecast of the popular Jayam Ravi – Sayeesha starrer – Vanamagan that narrates the story of a Tribal from Andaman who falls for the love of a rich city-based girl.
‘Mirattal Mercury’ – a special show at 1:30 PM with the team behind upcoming film – Mercury that stars Prabhu Deva, Remya Nambeesan in lead roles. Joined by film’s director – Karthik Subbaraj and Music Director Santhosh Narayanan, the stars are set to share their experiences through the shoot of the film. The curtain-raiser to the ‘Gallata Awards’ is set to be telecasted at 2:30 PM that will showcase the behind-the-scenes action to the action-filled awards show that will be telecasted soon on Zee Tamil.
New Year blockbuster movie – Bhaagamathie will be aired at 3:00 PM. Bhaagamathie is a horror-thriller film, written and directed by G. Ashoka. The movie boasts of a stellar cast with Anushka Shetty, Unni Mukundan and Jayaram playing lead roles. It revolves around the interrogation of the personal secretary of the home minister, Chanchala – framed for the murder of her fiance’, who is sent to an undisclosed location by CBI officers who, known as Bhaagamathie bunglow, which is haunted by the ghost of a cruel queen. The plot unfolds as things take an eerie turn and Chanchala gets possessed by a ghost.
The entertainment continues with the ‘Live’ Grand Finale of the popular music reality show – Sa Re Ga Ma Pa at 7:00 PM where the 5 finalists – Varsha, Srinidhi, Sanjay, Jaskaran and Ramani Ammal battle it out to emerge as the title winner of the show. The highlight of the event is set to be the presence of Yuvan Shankar Raja as the Special Guest for the finale.
Zee Tamil Continues the New Year celebrations with another blockbuster movie – Pothuvaga En Manasu Thangam on 15th April at 5:00 PM. The film features Udhaynidhi Stalin, Niveditha & Parthiban in the lead roles with the plot revolving around a young villager who falls in love with the daughter of a rich man. The plot thickens as the evil intentions of the rich man come to fore and threatens the lives of the village folk. The highlight of the film is the soul-stirring music by D. Imman and stunning cinematography by Balasubramaniem.
