Chennai: Zee Tamil to honour the talents that has revolutionized the Tamil Cinema industry with the Zee Cine Awards Tamil 2020.
The channel announced the first ever edition of the prestigious Zee Cine Awards Tamil through a press conference held at The Leela Palace, Chennai on 21st November 2019. The trophy was unveiled among the presence of the Guest of Honour, Actor Karthi and esteemed Jury members – veterans and passionate members of the industry- Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Karupalaniappan, Bharath Bala and Baradhwaj Rangan.

Speaking on the launch of the Zee Cine Awards Tamil 2020, Mr. Siju Prabhakaran, South Cluster Head – Zee Entertainment Enterprises Pvt. With nominations that honor excellence in cinema and the finest performances across genres, Zee Cine Awards Tamil endeavors to offer the most credible platform to recognize exceptional talent in Kollywood. While the jury will select their winners, Zee Cine Awards Tamil will also empower viewers to ensure that their deserving favorites win through a nomination mechanism for the all new- ‘’Favorite Awards’’ category. The uniqueness of the awards is that the viewers from across the Southern State can participate in the awards and nominate and choose their Favorite Hero, Heroine, Director, Film and Song, Favorite Socially Responsible Hero, Favorite Telugu Hero in Tamil Nadu, Favorite Kannada Hero in Tamil Nadu, Favorite Malayalam Hero in Tamil Nadu. The channel has become a pioneer in driving inclusion with the introduction of the Favorite Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam hero in Tamil Nadu categories. The extensive nomination process will be followed by the voting process, 15th December onwards and the methods for both will be communicated on the channel.
