Hyderabad: To bring quality learning to every child across the Telugu states, Zee Telugu announced its social initiative ‘Blackboards for Brighter Dreams’ on India’s 73rd Republic Day, 2022. Be it aspirational fiction shows or clutter-breaking non-fiction properties, the channel has always prioritized its viewers’ needs. While studying the lives of local teachers for bringing forward the most relatable characters, the channel also came across the pitiful conditions of blackboards in several schools across various towns and villages in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Started with an aim to reach out to as many schools as possible, today ‘Blackboards for Brighter Dreams’ has already impacted lives of lakhs of students across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. With earnestness, the channel identified and refurbished the wall slates and recently reached a milestone of remodeling the 200th blackboard in MPPS – Village, Thadkapally – Mandal, Siddipet.
Zee Telugu also released a heartwarming video for the initiative that beautifully brings to life the brand’s ethos of ‘Aarambham Okka Aduguthone.’ In the video, the channel showcases aspirations and dreams of all the students and teachers which stirred positive emotions and won the hearts of the people across Telugu speaking states.
Speaking about this noble initiative, Anuradha Gudur, Chief Content Officer – Telugu, mentioned, “We started ‘Blackboard for Brighter Dreams’ intending to lighten up the lives of lakhs of students by renovating the blackboards, through which they can dream brighter.
