Chennai: Sun TV has appointed R Karthikeyan as Vice President for Strategic Planning and Quality Control for Programming on Sun TV. His appointment was effective from yesterday (11th April).
R Karthikeyan will be responsible for formulating Strategy and implementation of quality control measures in the areas of Programming on Sun TV.
He has a vast experience in the areas of cost and quality control aspects of programming domain as he was associated with Balaji Telefilms for a very brief period in which he worked in various functions.
Karthik’s last assignment was with Vaishnave Mediaa Works Ltd. as CEO and before that he was in his second stint of 3 years with Balaji Telefilms as Group Commercial Head and Finance Controller in which he was overseeing the commercials and cost control areas of the programs produced by the company.
During his first stint between 1998 to 2009, he started off as head of the in-house Ad Sales Team that was selling the FCTs from its Sponsorship programs in South Market and went on to become the CEO of the Company over a period of time.
During his overall Media experience of around 20 years he also worked with Endemol India as Business Head between 2010 to 2012, PMI International as Head Strategy and Business Development and with Nimbus Communications in the initial stage of his career.
