Chennai : Star India’s Tamil Entertainment Channel Vijay TV is launching new fiction show Pagal Nilavu, which will be the next generation story of its existing show Andal Azhagar that was running successfully for more than 400 episodes.
The story of new show Pagal Nilavu starting on 9th May will be a continuation of exiting show’s concept and roots with two decade leap in the storyline. It will also see yesteryear kids characters turning in to present day’s youth and driving force of the story with deep rooted sentiments and vengeance lingering deep in the hearts of elders.
Vijay TV has strategically placed the show in dual time band at 6:30 PM and 9:30 PM in-order to balance the reach to urban and rural audience. while the evening time band targets the Rural audience. The Primetime band @ 9:30 PM is to target the Urban audience.
As per the story of Pagal Nilavu – Revathy returns to her native as collector after 20 years with her son Karthik born for Revathy and Shakthi.
Karthik doesn’t know anything about his family. His arrival to the town makes him explore everything about the past; he comes to know about his father Shakthivel who is a minister now his step mother Malar and step brother Prabhakaran.
He pledges to take revenge on Shakthivel and his family and grows enmity towards Prabhakaran.
Andal – Azhagar has two daughters Revathy and Sakthi who are non identical twins. Revathy hates Azhagar for not standing her side in her battle with Sakthi and advises Karthik to stay away from Azhagar’s daughters.
Junior Revathy and Sakthi decide to unite the whole family and they fall in love with Karthik and Prabha.
Will Karthik understand his father’s love for him??? Will Prabhakaran accept Karthik as his brother??? Will Junior Revathy and Sakthi succeed their quest in uniting the Family??? forms the crux of the story.
The show directed by Kadhiravan has starcast of Vignesh Karthik, Sowndarya, Anwar, Sameera, Udhaybanu Maheshwaran.
