Netflix has licensed Life, a new Korean drama written by Lee Su-yeon, the writer of popular South Korean television series “Stranger”.
The medical drama tells the story of people in a hospital who want to protect and save lives, and also those who want to defend what they believe is right. Hong Jong-chan (Dear My Friends) and Lim Hyun-ook (A Person You May Know) are the directors. Lee Dong-wook (Goblin, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God) stars as one of the doctors in the hospital. Jo Seung-woo (Stranger) plays the CEO of the hospital.
Netflix will premiere the first four episodes of Life in AsiaPac markets (excluding Japan) and English-speaking regions (excluding U.S.) on August 4. Episodes five and six will stream on the same day as the Korean broadcast on August 6 and 7, followed by a regular weekly schedule. All other territories, excluding the U.S. and Japan, will premiere two episodes weekly on every Mondays, while all episodes will be available in the U.S. on 12th September.
