Shailaja Reddy Alludu revolves around the story of Chaitanya (Naga Chaitanya), son of an egoist rich businessman, who falls in love with his neighbor Anu (Anu Emmanuel). Anu, with a pompous personality, with time accepts Chaitanya’s love and decides to take a step forward towards getting married. The film is about power play between the characters as we see Chaitanya’s father getting them engaged in the spur of the moment but Anu’s mother complicating the situation by insisting she gets engaged to a doctor. Thereby,creating a roadblock for the couple, keeping them from getting together.
The story proceeds with Chaitanya visiting Anu’s village and learning that Anu and her mother have not been talking to each other for years. How he untangles the strings to help them come to a conclusion is what forms the crux of the story.
Directed by Maruthi, the film is a good mix of entertainment and emotions which beautifully captures how Chaitanya manages to fix his marriage despite being surrounded by three egoistic people who hold the decision making power for his marriage with Anu.
