Being 40 years of journey, Doordarshan Kendra Chennai, DD POTHIGAI had not produced a mega serial in Tamil language. They have produced only a short term weekend serials.
For the first time, Doordarshan Chennai is producing a mega serial “Vazhvey Mayam”. The serial will be aired from 2nd June onward between 8.30PM to 9.00PM.
Vazhvey Mayam a comedy serial with the Artists -Madhan babu, Pandu, Nithya, Kathadi Rama moorthy, Shobana, Sathyajith, Greese, Nisha, Chithra, Keerthi Sundar, Karthik, Bobby.

Story and Direction of this serial is Ratheesh and he is a brother of News reader Shobana Ravi.
Ratheesh had already done so many projects for Doordarshan and all those serials had received National awards and he is planning to direct a tamil movie soon.
