Big FM Wins 10 Golds at India Radio Forum 2019

Mumbai: BIG FM wins 10 Golds for various categories including Best Radio Show (Non-Breakfast-Hindi), Best Radio Show (Kannada), Best Radio Show (Marathi), Best Radio Show (Hindi- Non-metro station), Best Radio Sparkler (Hindi) and RJ of the Year at the prestigious Excellence in Radio Awards (ERA) hosted by the India Radio Forum. The highlight amongst the victors was author, scriptwriter, lyricist and radio storyteller Neelesh Mishra, who claimed the RJ of the Year (Hindi) award. The win was followed by the recent transition in the positioning of the brand ‘Dhun Badal ke Toh Dekho’ across its stations; a major brand revamp since its launch in 2006.

The radio station won titles across 5 genres – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi in the category of ‘RJ of the Year’ award. Neelesh Mishra won the RJ of the Year (Hindi) for his show ‘Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra’, an iconic show that truly pioneered the storytelling genre on radio. Captivating listeners with interesting and engaging tales for the last five successful seasons, the show continues to enjoy a high listenership among listeners as well as advertisers. RJ Balaji won the RJ of the Year (Tamil), RJ Shekhar Basha won the RJ of the Year (Telugu), RJ Shruti won the RJ of the Year (Kannada) and RJ Sangram won the RJ of the Year (Marathi).
