Mumbai: Zee Media Corporation Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that Ashok Venkatramani has resigned as the Managing Director.
Prior to joining Zee Media, Ashok was with Primary Data and Analytics Copmany, Chrome Analytics and Media Pvt Ltd, as the Director. He was also a former CEO of ABP News Network. In his career spanning around 26-year Venkatramani was associated with ABP News as CEO, at Hindustan Unilever he was Vice President and Business Head – Skincare.
The notification to BSE stated “This is to inform you that Mr. Ashok Venkatramani has decided to pursue interest outside the Company and has accordingly resigned as Managing Director of the Company with effect from close of business on July 9, 2019.”
Ashok Venkatramani was expected to play a minimum of three years stint with Zee Media as per the BSE filing. However, he left the organisation within a year of joining the organisation.
