Communications India has launched a new forum, named after Devrishi Narad
Share Share ShareShare

New Delhi : A decade old PR and communications agency Communications India, has launched a new forum ‘Narad Sanchar’.

Communication process has been prevailing since pre-historic times and Narad Muni is believed to be a pioneer of communication. Thus the Forum Narad Sanchar is named after him. An attribute of Sage Narad has been described in the Puranas as someone who was well aware of the news from all realms, on this basis, he was called the god of news. Inspired by the Narad’s virtue of being able to reach anywhere and everywhere and to be surrounded by scholars for mentorship and consultations, the ‘Narad Sanchar’ media platform has been established on ‘Narad Jayanti’ also called ‘Patrakar Diwas’. Narad Jayanti is observed as the birth anniversary of Devrishi Narad. Sage Narad is a precursor of modern day journalism and mass communicator. The day appeals the journalists to follow his ideals, broaden their approach to people of the society and aim towards public welfare.

Narad Sanchar is the digital revolution for exchange of information and news related to public welfare, social, economic, political, business and monitoring of news / information propagated / transmitted by the media.

The aim of the forum is to give a basis for exchange of views to the media professionals carrying the Naradian tradition on issues of public interest.

The Covid-19 pandemic has strongly impacted the journalism industry and affected journalists’s work. Many publications have been severely affected by losses in advertising revenues from coronavirus. Journalists have been laid off, and some publications have folded.

In the present scenario the journalist is deprived of his own social and economic security.  There’s a need to safeguard the fourth pillar of our democracy. Its regularization is absolutely necessary. The near future seems to be challenging for journalism and Journalists across India.

Founder at Communications India & Narad Sanchar, Mr. Brijesh Bhatt said, The conditions of journalists have become very serious today, many of our colleagues have become unemployed. Many journalists are not given two-three months salary. It is a request to the government, to industries and to all the institutions, please take the initiative to strengthen the fourth pillar of the country, our media pals really need us to raise the voice for them. Narad Sanchar is committed to the persistence of the fourth pillar of democracy.

The forum believes that solutions to every problem are available in positive dialogue. The forum has organized and will continue to organise various digital webinars on the issues related to social and economic security of the journalist like “The role of media in terms of human sentiments and public welfare in the current scenario”, “Responsibilities of the Central and State Government to ensure social and economic security of journalists“.Social media users actively take part in the live webinars and ask relevant questions in the comment sections.

The forum gradually reached out to senior and respectable people from the media industry. To name a few, KG Suresh( Former DG at IIMC), Rahul Dev (Journalist Indian Languages activist and advisor at SGT University) , Santosh Kumar (Former Deputy Editor at Dainik Bhaskar and a Ramnath Goenka Awardee) , Sujata Mathur (Federation of PTI, employees union) , Ras Bihari (President, National Union of Journalists) , Vivek Tiwari ( Special Correspondent at Zee News) ,  Pramod Jha (Chief Sub Editor at IANS), Chandrashekhar Joshi (Reporter at Doordarshan), Smita Singh (Senior Journalist at Dainik Jagran), Madan jaira (Bureau Chief at Hindustan), Ritu tomar ( Reporter at The Wire), Manoj Bhatt (Senior Correspondent at Hindustan), Annirudh Sharma (Editor at Dainik Bhaskar), Sushil Raghav (Chief Correspondent at Jansatta), etc have been part the panel.

Apart from this, Communications India besides being a non-established organization proved itself to be a real warrior in the pandemic and has been successfully paying a perfect gesture of goodwill to its employees as well as to its clients even in times of crisis. They neither resorted to pay cuts nor terminated any of its employees. It infact hired an ex-employee who required employment during these difficult times.

Narad Sanchar requests everybody to cooperate through its initiative to provide social and economic security to journalists, with the hope of getting the subject of the presented dialogue out of the webinars in the future to work on the real ground.
