Advertising Volumes on Television: Jun-Aug’19* & Jun-Aug’20*

6% rise in Ad Volumes on Television during Jun-Aug’20* compared to Jun-Aug’19*, with more than 10% growth in Ad Volumes of Jul’20 & Aug’20* compared to Jul’19 & Aug’19*.

New^ Advertisers and Brands on TV: Jun-Aug’20* compared to Jun-Aug’19*

With total 30+ New Categories & 2000+ New Advertisers seen in Jun-Aug’20* over Jun-Aug’19*, Ecom-Payment Banks and Piccadily Agro Industries were top new Category and Advertiser.

Television Advertising trend during Jul-Aug’20*

3,400+ Advertisers and 5,000+ Brands were visible across 390+ Categories, 88,000+ hrs. of advertising volumes on Television in Jun-Aug’20* and Ad Volumes per Day for Aug’20* grew by 4% over Jul’20.

Week on Week Ad Volumes during Jun-Aug’20*

A continuous growth in Avg. Ad Volume/Day in Jul-Aug’20*and ad Volumes increased by 44% in week 34 compared to week 23 and peaked in week 33.

Top Sectors and Categories: Jun-Aug’20*

Sector ‘Personal Care/Personal Hygiene’ topped with 22% share followed by F&B Sector. The list of top 10 categories was dominated by FMCG sector and Top 50 categories holds 75% share of TV Ad Volumes.

Leading Advertisers: Jun-Aug’20*

During Jun-Aug’20*, the Top 10 advertisers added nearly 50% share of TV Ad Volumes, HUL alone had almost 1/4th of the Ad Volume share followed by ‘Reckitt’ with 9% share.

Total 50+ New Categories & 1900+ New Advertisers seen in Jun-Aug’20* over Apr-May’20, while Shaving System/Razor and Facebook Inc. were top new Category and Advertiser.

Ad Volumes by Time Bands: Week 29 – 34 vs. Week 23 – 28

All Time Bands observed a rise in Ad Volumes in Week 29-24 over Week 23-28 with a 16% increase in Prime Time Ad Volumes during week 29-34 compared to week 23-28.
