Mumbai: On World Environment Day, Tata Mumbai Marathon and face of the event Tiger Shroff announced their support for ‘Each One, Plant One’, an initiative by Project Mumbai, an award-winning not for profit engaged in social transformation through initiatives of scale.

The youth icon is a firm supporter of the environment and believes – All good things begin at Home.  With this ethos at the core; Each One, Plant One, encourages and inspires citizens to plant a sapling in the comfort and safety of their homes for a greener tomorrow.

Tata Mumbai Marathon has been a catalyst for social change and is one of the largest sporting philanthropy platforms in the country. A beacon of hope for humanity. This association with Project Mumbai, an NGO that specialises in Environment, Governance, education, Health and Citizenship and Volunteering brings together two institutions committed to the betterment of society.

While kick-starting the initiative, Tiger Shroff, said, “With Each One Plant One I want to create a powerful symbol for a better tomorrow. Environment change is like preparing for a marathon. It takes consistent commitment and begins with one single step. I urge everyone to plant a sapling within the safety and convenience of your surroundings and be a part of this green journey with me, Tata Mumbai Marathon and Project Mumbai.”

Shishir Joshi, CEO and Founder Project Mumbai, said, “Safekeeping of our environment is arguably our biggest challenge and, the only way that we can win this battle is doing it together. By volunteering one’s time for the community. The first step of which, begins with myself—me and from my home. Each one of us now needs to take this step, individually and collectively and Project Mumbai is delighted to bring people together on one platform.”

Each One Plant One aims to create awareness about the environment, engage and empower citizens with information on maintaining, nurturing samplings and work towards making environment-friendly life choices. As part of the campaign individuals planting a sapling are requested to share a pic or video with Tata Mumbai Marathon, Project Mumbai with the #EachOnePlantOne #TMM2021. To celebrate the efforts of all, a heart-warming video montage will be created thanking all the participants.
