Mumbai: Recognizing and honouring the best of the Marathi television industry, BIG FM, one of the leading radio networks in the country, is presenting the first-ever radio awards in this space – BIG Marathi Entertainment Awards. Creating engaging content and entertaining people, Marathi shows have been at the forefront especially during the pandemic. The awards will be an ode to the inspiring Marathi television fraternity acknowledging and felicitating their work. Taking the host’s mantle will be the RJ of the network’s hugely popular Marathi segment ‘4 cha Chaha’, RJ Bandya!
BIG Marathi Entertainment Awards, the first-ever radio awards celebrating the remarkable Marathi talent will announce winners across 10 popular categories – BIG Best Character (Male & Female), BIG Supporting Character (Male & Female), BIG Best Title Song, BIG Best Family, BIG Best Negative Role (Male & Female), BIG Best Jodi and finally the Big Best Non-Fiction Show. Various television stars who are adored by their fans such as Madhurani Gokhale, Mukta Barve, Harshada Khanvilkar, Umesh Kamat, Smita Shewale, Pallavi Patil, Ajay Purkar, Akshaya Naik amongst others are nominated under these exciting categories.
The radio network is reaching out to their listeners and Marathi entertainment enthusiasts to be a part of the awards process by voting for their favourite artists! In a six-week-long robust campaign that spans radio waves as well as digital ones, RJ Bandya will take listeners on an entire experience of voting for their favourite actors and making them win. Listeners can vote for their favourite stars from 2020-21’s shows and ensure they take home the coveted title. Also if their voted winner wins in the category, 10 such lucky voters stand a chance to win exciting prizes.
