Kochi: Club FM has achieved a significant international milestone by becoming the only Indian radio station to be recognised at the New York Festivals Radio Awards 2026, one of the world’s most respected platforms celebrating excellence in radio, audio storytelling and broadcast creativity.

The Kerala-based radio station secured a Silver Tower in the Craft: Sound – Multi-Platform Promotion category for its entry, “Maveli Mood”, while also earning a Finalist Certificate in the Promotion/Open ID category for “Twice Is Wise”, a campaign developed in partnership with Federal Bank.

The recognition reinforces Club FM’s position as a leading innovator in audio content and creative storytelling, placing the station among some of the world’s most accomplished radio broadcasters and content creators.

According to the station, “Maveli Mood” was conceptualised as a high-production audio universe that combined humour, emotion, satire and cinematic storytelling to create an immersive listener experience. Meanwhile, “Twice Is Wise” was designed as a promotional campaign that blended brand communication with engaging audience-centric content.

The latest achievement adds to Club FM’s longstanding association with the New York Festivals Radio Awards, where the station has consistently earned recognition over the past decade for its creative excellence and programming innovation.

Commenting on the recognition, Mayura Shreyams Kumar, Director – Digital Business, Mathrubhumi Group, said, “We are honoured that Club FM has been recognised among the world’s leading radio broadcasters. This prestigious recognition reflects our commitment to innovative programming, creative storytelling, and meaningful audience engagement. I congratulate our entire team for consistently producing exceptional radio content and delivering high-quality programming that resonates deeply with our listeners. This achievement is a testament to their passion, creativity, and dedication to excellence in broadcasting.”

Jayakrishnan

Congratulating the team on the achievement, Jayakrishnan N, General Manager, Club FM, said, “We are immensely proud that Club FM has been recognised on one of the world’s most prestigious platforms for radio excellence. Becoming the only Indian radio station to receive honours at the New York Festivals Radio Awards 2026 is a significant achievement for us. Our radio station has always strived to understand the pulse of our listeners and create content that resonates with their interests, emotions, and everyday experiences.”

Highlighting the creative philosophy behind the award-winning campaigns, RJ Rafi, Creative Head, Club FM, added, “At Club FM, creativity begins with understanding our audience. Every idea we develop is rooted in insights about our listeners, their culture, emotions, and aspirations. “Maveli Mood” and “Twice Is Wise” were conceived with the objective of creating memorable experiences while staying true to the brand’s voice and listener expectations. Receiving recognition at the New York Festivals Radio Awards 2026 is a proud validation of our team’s creative vision, collaborative spirit, and commitment to crafting content that connects with people in meaningful ways.”

Established in 1957, the New York Festivals Radio Awards has spent more than six decades recognising innovation and excellence across the global broadcast audio industry. The competition honours outstanding work across multiple categories spanning radio programming, podcasts, audio storytelling, promotions and creative production.

Entries for the 2026 edition were evaluated by the Radio Awards Grand Jury, comprising 100 audio and broadcast professionals from 20 countries. Submissions were assessed on criteria including creativity, production quality, content presentation, writing, direction, audience relevance and achievement of objectives.

The latest accolade highlights Club FM’s continued commitment to pushing creative boundaries in radio broadcasting while strengthening India’s presence on the global audio and entertainment stage. The recognition also underscores the growing impact of regional broadcasters in creating world-class content that resonates with both local audiences and international industry experts.
