Gautam Sinha, the CEO of Times Internet has decided to move on, ending his 15 years long relationship with the Company. Subsequently, the management has handed over the interim charge to Puneet Gupt, the COO of Times Internet.
Gupt joined Times Internet in 2012 as VP and Business Head, The Times of India Digital ( Web & Mobile) and was elevated to the role of COO & Business Head, News in 2016. He took the role of COO, Times Internet in 2018.
During his tenure with Times Internet, Gupt grew the news business of Times ofIndia (TOl) to significant profitability and 50%+market share, the Indian Language ‘news and content business’ to market leadership and launched and scaled the new businesses of GadgetsNow (gadgets review and comparison), NewsPoint (content aggregator with strong OEM and distribution partnerships) and Times (#1 Entertainment destination).
Reportedly, Gautam Sinha has resigned from the company as CEO of Times Internet, thereby ending 15 year stint at the company.
