Star Vijay’s ‘Tamizh Pechu Engal Moochu’ is all set to return on April 16, 2023, bringing the best of Tamil oratory to viewers across Tamil Nadu.
The show aims to find the best orator in Tamil language across Tamil Nadu, and Star Vijay conducted an intensive state-wide hunt for the most competent Tamil orators spanning from Trichy, Madurai, Kovai, Salem, Thirunelveli, and Chennai. Out of over 2500 talents who participated, 250 were shortlisted and put to several tasks at various levels of competition. Post the scrutinizing evaluations, the top twenty-four contestants will come up on the stage of TPEM to compete.
The contestants will go through several rounds varying from story narration, poetry recital, debate, and elocution during the show. The best Tamil orator of Tamil Nadu will also get to take home a prize money of Rs 5 lakh.
Dr. G. Gnanasambandam, Parveen Sultana, renowned Tamil scholars and orators will form the jury panel. The show will be hosted by Erode Magesh and Anitha Sampath.
In the launch episode, the Telangana Governor, Dr. Tamilisai Soundarrajan will participate as the special guest.
