The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out extensive searches today at various properties linked to Lyca Productions, the producer of Ponniyin Selvan, in Chennai.
The searches, conducted at eight different locations, included Lyca Productions’ head office situated on Vijaya Raghava Road in T Nagar, as well as other premises located in Adyar, Karapakkam, and surrounding areas.
According to media reports, the ED’s action came in response to complaints received alleging money laundering activities associated with Lyca Productions.
Lyca Productions, founded by A Subaskaran in 2014 and currently led by GKM Tamil Kumaran, has established itself as a key player in the Tamil film industry. The production house is currently engaged in the production of films namely “Lal Salaam” starring Rajinikanth, “Vidaa Muyarchi” featuring Ajith, and “Indian 2” starring Kamal Haasan.
