Dilip Venkatraman has been promoted in Tech Mahindra as Senior Vice President and Business Head – Media And Entertainment.
He will be based out of New York.
Earlier he was Tech Mahindra – Media And Entertainment global head. He jouined the company in 2021.
On professional networking site Linkedin he wrote, “I am privileged to lead a team of experienced practitioners in helping our customers, interpret, navigate, build, operate, and monetize in the everchanging technology, media and entertainment landscape.
“This we do by working with our customers to leverage cutting edge technologies like GenAI, ML, Analytics, Video, Cloud, IOT, 5G, Blockchain, to create sustained value.
“We believe in achieving business transformation by practicing holistic innovation, and harnessing technology.”
He added that the company’s Media and Entertainment practice goes well beyond the company’s traditional IT strengths and is structured into verticals – Video, Digital, X-Tech, and Animation.
“In the Video vertical we work across the entire technology and services stack with Broadcasting, OTT Platforms, Studios and Cable Companies.”
“In the Digital vertical we work across Ad Tech, Marketing Tech, Content Tech and Analytics and help our Customers across industries grow their businesses.”
“In the X-Tech vertical we leverage technologies like AR/VR, Blockchain, NFTs, 5G and Edge compute to offer X-Tech native services.”
“In animation, we have our own Saffronic, our own animation studio in Chennai, working on animation for Hollywood studios and game environment development for the gaming majors.”
Earlier he founded Videotap. It helps video content publishers develop and deliver viewing experiences to their consumers, increase consumer engagement and achieve better ROI. Prior to that he spent years in news broadcasting with companies like Network18.
