Surat: KP Group has appointed Dr. Alok Das as its new Group CEO, effective today. With over three decades of experience in the renewable energy sector, Dr. Das will play a pivotal role in steering the Group’s diverse portfolio of companies, including KPI Green Energy and KP Energy, toward its ambitious growth targets—especially the goal of achieving 10 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Dr. Das, an esteemed alumnus of IIT Kanpur, holds a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy and has built a distinguished career in renewable energy systems, project management, and international business development. His extensive expertise spans solar, wind, and hybrid energy systems, with a strong focus on developing sustainable energy solutions both domestically and globally. He is known for his strategic foresight and vision in shaping India’s renewable energy landscape.

Dr. Das has held key leadership roles in renowned energy companies such as Suzlon Energy, Reliance Energy, and NEPC Michon Limited. At Suzlon, he was instrumental in expanding the company’s renewable energy projects and improving operational efficiency. His work has had a lasting impact on the renewable energy sector, particularly in shaping policies and regulatory frameworks that have driven industry growth in India.
In his new role as Group CEO, Dr. Das will oversee the strategic direction of KP Group’s various energy ventures and lead efforts to enhance the Group’s operational capabilities. Under his leadership, KP Group aims to accelerate its renewable energy initiatives, diversify its portfolio, and strengthen its presence in global markets. Dr. Das will also work closely with the leadership teams at KP Group’s subsidiaries to ensure smooth execution of key projects and initiatives.
