JioStar names Sushant Sreeram as Head of Marketing to Lead Brand Growth and Strategy

Mumbai: Sushant Sreeram has been appointed as the Head of Marketing at JioStar, the newly launched media joint venture between Reliance Industries and The Walt Disney Company. In his new role, Sreeram will oversee all marketing initiatives and brand strategies, driving the vision for the platform’s growth and audience engagement across India.

Sreeram will lead a dynamic team with key reports including Minakshi Achan, responsible for Brand, Creative, Social, and Distillery mandates; Piush Kothari, who will focus on membership subscription growth and subscription revenue; and Rahul Patil, who will manage Marketing Analysis.

Sreeram joined JioCinema in July 2024, shortly before the formation of JioStar, bringing with him over a decade of experience in the entertainment and tech sectors. Prior to JioCinema, he served as Country Director for Prime Video India, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the platform’s customer acquisition and brand marketing efforts. During his tenure at Amazon, Sreeram held several senior roles, including Head of Customer and Brand Marketing (2018), Director of Marketing (2020), and Director of Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) Business (2022).

Before his tenure at Amazon, Sreeram was the Head of Marketing at Xiaomi India and has held key positions at HolidayIQ.com, eBay, Inkfruit.com, and Hindustan Unilever.
