Chennai : A Rainbow Life (Tamil: “Oru Vanavil Vaazkai”), a compelling biography of media industry stalwart Narasingapuram Chellamuthu Rajamani, has been launched by the Centre for Development Education and Communication, Department of Journalism and Communication, University of Madras. Written by renowned author R. Ranimainthan, former Head of the Research Department at BBC World, the book captures the remarkable journey of Dr. N.C. A Fulbright Scholar in Information and Communication Technology and an alumnus of Harvard Business School, Dr. Rajamani played a pioneering role in Doordarshan Madras, introducing several innovations that significantly influenced the growth of the television industry. His career spans leadership roles, including serving as Director of the Content Management team at Astro TV in Malaysia, where he contributed extensively to media management, content creation, technological advancements, and revenue generation.
One of his most notable achievements includes setting a Guinness World Record for continuous digital live streaming broadcasting, solidifying his reputation as an industry innovator. His foresight was evident even five decades ago when he produced a documentary on alternative energy, a subject that remains highly relevant today.
