Mumbai: ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (‘ZEE’) has announced the successful appointment of two distinguished professionals—Divya Karani and Saurav Adhikari—to its Board of Directors. The company’s shareholders approved the appointments via a remote e-voting Postal Ballot process that concluded today, reinforcing widespread investor confidence in the company’s leadership and strategic direction.
Karani joins as an Independent Director, while Adhikari takes on the role of Non-Executive Director. Both appointments align with ZEE’s ongoing efforts to bolster its board with seasoned professionals from diverse domains, strengthening governance and accelerating strategic execution.

Karani brings over 30 years of leadership experience in advertising and media across India, South Asia, the UK, and Asia Pacific. As the former CEO of Dentsu Media South Asia, she played a pivotal role in scaling the agency’s footprint in the region. Currently, she chairs the Board at Kulfi Collective, a next-gen media network operating at the intersection of content, commerce, and culture.
Adhikari also brings over three decades of cross-sectoral expertise across technology, FMCG, and consumer durables. With prior leadership roles at HCL, Unilever, and PepsiCo, he currently serves as Founder and Senior Partner at Indus Tech Edge Fund I—a growth-focused fund investing in India’s technology ecosystem. His deep understanding of global markets, investment strategy, and digital transformation will complement the board’s ability to navigate evolving business challenges.
