Bengaluru: Celonis has appointed tech industry veteran Dilipkumar Khandelwal as its new Chief Customer Officer and Chairman of the India Advisory Board. The appointment reflects Celonis’ heightened focus on ensuring its global customers realize measurable returns on their AI investments, while reinforcing India’s role as a strategic innovation and talent hub for the company.
Khandelwal brings with him deep experience from senior leadership roles at Deutsche Bank and SAP, where he built and scaled global teams serving high-demand enterprise clients. His new role at Celonis signals the company’s intent to empower organizations with actionable insights through Process Intelligence, enabling smarter AI deployments that directly impact the bottom line.
“In this economic climate, delivering quantifiable value is the only thing that matters. Our customers are looking for a true partner to help them make AI work for their business,” said Carsten Thoma, President and Board Director at Celonis. “Dilip has built and scaled global teams that serve the world’s most demanding clients. He has lived in the world of our customers, understands their challenges intimately, and knows how to connect technology to the top, bottom, and green line. He is the ideal leader to guarantee our customers’ success.”
As Chairman of the India Advisory Board, Khandelwal will play a pivotal role in guiding Celonis’ continued expansion in India, following recent investments such as the launch of the Celonis Garage innovation hub in Bengaluru. This move positions India not only as a delivery and engineering base but as a core driver of strategic innovation.
“I am excited to work with our customers and partners to harness the power of Process Intelligence and AI to move the needle on their most critical business goals and unlock billions in value,” said Dilip Khandelwal. “When I saw how the process intelligence platform provides AI the operational context it needs to be relevant and effective for the enterprise, I knew it had the potential to completely reinvent operations. I’m here to make that a reality for our customers.”
Throughout his career, Khandelwal has been recognized for driving turnarounds, scaling cloud-first business models, and building world-class engineering teams. Beyond his corporate experience, he is also a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and founding member of Plaksha University. He has invested in over 70 startups and actively mentors emerging technology leaders.
Celonis’ latest leadership move underlines its mission to deliver not just cutting-edge technology, but real business transformation powered by AI and process intelligence—helping enterprises unlock hidden value from the inside out.
