Bengaluru: Story TV, the micro drama streaming platform from Eloelo Group, is set to dramatically expand its footprint after a strong start. Having launched 200 micro dramas in just 60 days and crossed 5 million users, the platform now aims to release 800+ micro dramas and reach 100 million users within the next year. The micro dramas span genres such as romance, horror, and crime, featuring popular actors including Chetan Hansraj in Mafia Don, Kinshuk Vaidya in Death Clock, and Ayub Khan in Pyaar Ka Bharosa.
Saurabh Pandey, Founder and CEO, Story TV, said, “Currently, the ecosystem is largely dependent on globally popular storylines, but this is changing fast. As a platform, we have seen firsthand how local themes and stories can scale massively, given our diverse population and interests. To achieve this, we are bringing on board some of the most talented actors and creative forces in the industry.”
He added, “For us at Story TV, micro drama is all about bringing TV at the swipe of your fingertips – the same emotions, twists, and cliffhangers that people grew up watching on TV via soap operas or movies, but compressed into a vertical format that fits perfectly with today’s scrolling habits.”
Targeting young adults aged 18–35, who spend around 75 minutes daily on the platform, Story TV has a strong female viewership of over 40%, with Uttar Pradesh, Kolkata, and Maharashtra among its key markets. To support this ambitious growth, Story TV is onboarding more production houses, building a team of storytellers and industry veterans, and expanding its workforce to produce high-quality, relatable micro dramas for Indian audiences.
