boAt, Google collaborate for a creative competition targetting creators, students, and young Indians

MUMBAI: boAt, an audio and wearables brand, in collaboration with Google, has announced the launch of the #boAtGeminiChallenge. This creative competition invites creators, students, and young Indians to use Google’s advanced AI models in the Gemini app to produce ads that showcase how boAt has become an integral part of Indian households.

With the aim of reflecting boAt’s commitment to driving cultural relevance while making innovation accessible to its community, this first-of-its-kind campaign is set to roll out in two exciting phases from 8th October 2025 and will accept submissions till 14th October 2025. Phase 1 introduces the Nano Banana Print Ad Challenge, inviting participants to design print ads for boAt by creatively blending product images, features, and storytelling prompts using Gemini 2.5 Flash (Nano Banana), Google’s AI image editing tool in the Gemini app. Given the option to choose from specific product-feature combos, such as ANC in headphones, heavy bass in speakers, fitness tracking in smartwatches, along with immersive soundbars, participants can build ads that reflect everyday lifestyle moments. This will be followed by Phase 2, taking the challenge to the next level with the VEO 3 Video Ad Challenge, where creators use Google’s AI generative video model, Veo 3, in the Gemini app to produce engaging films showcasing boAt products seamlessly integrated into the lives of young Indians across diverse geographies and occasions.

A boAt spokesperson, said, “Our vision is simple yet bold: to unlock the creative potential of every Indian, across tiers and cultures. Since marketing and advertising today are powerful storytelling mediums, there could be no better opportunity than the #boAtGeminiChallenge to take our collaboration with Google and ad-making to the next level through a smart blend of technology, creativity and innovation.”

Through this campaign, boAt is giving creators and aspiring marketers the opportunity to win big, with Rs. 10 lakh worth of cash prizes up for grabs across both phases, ₹5 lakh in Phase 1 and ₹5 lakh in Phase 2, along with exclusive boAt products, Google Gemini subscriptions, and other rewards for top entries. While winners of Phase 1 will be announced on October 15, 2025, the announcement date for Phase 2 winners is yet to be disclosed.

With the #boAtGeminiChallenge conceived as more than just a contest, the campaign sets a new benchmark for initiatives that celebrate the intersection of technology, culture and creativity.
