Mumbai: Ray-Ban Meta glasses users in India will soon get access to new Meta AI features and experiences designed to make their glasses even more useful, personal, and fun. From hands-free voice interactions and Hindi language support to UPI Lite payments and festive-inspired restyling of photos, these updates aim to bring useful, more localised capabilities to the everyday life of users.
Meta AI now has the Celebrity AI Voice of Deepika Padukone
Consumers can interact with Meta AI using their voice on your Ray-Ban Meta glasses, as well as the Meta AI app, and it will reply to you out loud. Whether one wants quick answers, need something explained, or just wants to hear a joke, Meta AI is ready to respond. As this feature becomes available, consumers will also have the option to select from a variety of assistant voices – including a special AI voice of Deepika Padukone (available in IN-EN). She joins Meta AI’s global lineup of voices for the assistant, including celebrity voices to choose from.
Talk to AI glasses in Hindi
Ray-Ban Meta glasses now offer full support for the Hindi language, making it easier for you to interact with Meta AI hands-free. Starting this week, users can select Hindi as their preferred language on glasses in the Meta AI app settings by changing the language in the Meta AI app under Device Settings > Meta AI > Language and Voice. This update allows users to ask questions, get information, take photos and videos, answer calls and texts, and control media – all in Hindi. This update uses tools from Sarvam a foundational model company.
Take Diwali-restyled photos with glasses for a limited time
Get ready for this festive season in fun, new ways with Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Consumers can transform captures with Diwali-inspired lights, fireworks, and rangoli. Say “Hey Meta, Restyle This.” with glasses and Meta AI reimagines one’s captures with Diwali styles. Users can view the restyled photos on the Meta AI app. Consumers can decorate their world with Diwali magic using Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
Testing UPI QR code payments on AI glasses
As showcased at the Global Fintech Fest, consumers will soon be able to make secure UPI QR-code payments for less than 1000 rupees directly from their AI glasses. Pay using UPI Lite by looking at the QR code and saying, “Hey Meta, scan and pay” — no need to reach for the phone or wallet. Payments will be processed through one’s WhatsApp-linked bank account.
