Mumbai: Srinivasan Swamy, Chairman of R K Swamy Ltd. was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Asian Federation of Advertising Association (AFAA) at AdAsia Beijing in the presence of delegates from 32 countries.
The Immediate Past President of AFAA, Raymond So, presented what is the highest honour AFAA confers on anyone.
The citation that was read out listed the amazing record of impressive achievements Swamy had already earned for his distinguished career.

For his quarter century spent in leading and building the largest Indian owned integrated marketing services R K Swamy Hansa Group.
For having provided guidance and leadership to the marcom industry globally for over four decades.
For having led many global and national industry Associations with distinction, including:
- The Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA) as Chairman
- The International Advertising Association as Chairman and World President
- The Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Associations (CAAAA) as Chairman
- The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association as President for an unprecedented four years
- The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) for a record three consecutive terms and has been re-elected as President in 2025
- The Advertising Standards Council of India(ASCI) as Chairman
- The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) as Chairman
- The All India Management Association (AIMA) as President
- The Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry as President
- The Madras Management Association as President
- The Advertising Club Madras as President
For the sterling role he played in birthing the GoaFest, leading the amazing IAA World Congress 2019, the IAA Silver Jubilee Summit at Kochi, several editions of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) International Brand Summit and the AIMA World Marketing Congress, to name just a few.
For his huge contribution in leading societal causes including religious causes, educational institutions, medical hospitals, cultural institutions and knowledge-based institutions.
For this great body of work, he has been honoured with several international and domestic awards including:
- Award of Appreciation from Japan Advertising Association for his contribution to Asian Advertising Industry, the only Indian to receive this honour;
- IAA Global Compass Award for outstanding contribution to the industry, the only Indian receive this honour;
- AdStar Korea Lifetime Honour Award, the only Indian to receive this honour;
- AFAA Special Merit Award
- IAA Inspire Champion Award – given by IAA Global
- IAA North Star Medal from IAA Global for distinguished Service to IAA
- Honorary Life Fellowship by All India Management Association
- Lifetime Achievement Award by Indira Institutions
- Distinguished Service Award – given by Advertising Club Madras
- Lifetime Achievement Award – given by Advertising Agencies Association of India
- Inducted into the IAA Hall of Fame – the highest honour given by IAA India Chapter
- Lifetime Achievement Award – given by Rotary Club of Guindy
- Distinguished Alumni Award – given by Alagappa College of Technology during their
Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
