New Delhi: Jist News, the digital-first news platform known for its impactful ground reporting and credible journalism, has appointed award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker Asmita Nandy as Consulting Editor.
A Ramnath Goenka Award winner, Asmita Nandy brings nearly a decade of experience in investigative and immersive journalism across television, digital, and documentary formats. Her work has been recognized with the WAN-IFRA South Asia Award and a RedInk Special Mention for impactful storytelling and strong editorial rigour.
Asmita has reported for leading Indian and international media organizations including CNA, French TV, Brut, The Quint, and Reuters, with a focus on people-first journalism and deeply reported ground narratives.
At Jist, she will shape editorial strategy, lead documentary initiatives, and mentor the platform’s reporting teams to further strengthen its emphasis on investigative and field-based journalism.
