Mumbai: India closed the shortlist phase of Spikes Asia 2026 with a total of 91 shortlists, after securing three additional nominations on the fourth and final day of announcements.
On Day 4, Leo emerged as the only Indian agency to feature on the shortlist, earning three nominations across two categories. The agency secured two shortlists in the Glass: The Award for Change Spikes for Whisper’s ‘Project Early Period’ campaign, in the Initiative and Product/Service sub-categories. The same campaign also picked up a shortlist in the Integrated category.
The final announcements add to India’s steady performance throughout the week. On Day 3, the country secured 11 shortlists across Creative B2B, Creative Data, Creative Effectiveness, Digital Craft, Entertainment, and Industry Craft Spikes.
Earlier, Day 2 saw India record its strongest showing with 44 shortlists across Creative Strategy, Design, Film Craft, Gaming, Healthcare, Media, Music, PR, and Social & Creator Spikes.
The awards season began with 31 shortlists on Day 1, spanning Audio & Radio, Brand Experience & Activation, Creative Commerce, Direct, Film, Outdoor, and Print & Publishing categories.
In addition, the Innovation category shortlist, announced last month, saw two entries from India, contributing to the country’s overall tally.
The shortlist phase will culminate with the Spikes Asia Awards Gala, scheduled to take place this evening at Singapore’s Capitol Theatre, where winners across categories will be revealed. The ceremony will also celebrate the victors of the Young Spikes Competition, bringing together leading creative professionals from across the region for an evening of recognition and celebration.
