Mumbai, 28th July 2026: As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms the advertising landscape, one challenge has become increasingly evident: while AI has made content creation faster and more accessible, it has not made great storytelling any easier.
Recognising the growing gap between technological capability and creative craft, Studio Blo, one of India’s pioneering AI-led film studios redefining storytelling through technology, today announced the launch of its premium AI-native advertising division, backed by an exceptional roster of globally acclaimed filmmakers and creative talent.
The newly assembled creative collective includes Rob Kaplan, widely regarded as the world’s leading automotive filmmaker; Karan Malhotra, acclaimed Bollywood director known for large-scale cinematic storytelling and celebrity-led films; Saba Gaziyani, one of India’s most respected food stylists and food filmmakers; Nizar Sfair, a leading advertising filmmaker from the UAE; Chinmay Bokil, noted cinematographer and ad filmmaker; and Shoba Mohapatra, an accomplished advertising filmmaker who has worked closely with legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam.
Together, these creators will collaborate with Studio Blo to build a new generation of AI-powered branded content and advertising films that combine cutting-edge technology with world-class storytelling craft.
The move comes at a time when brands are increasingly competing not just within their categories, but against every form of entertainment vying for consumer attention.

“Brands today need to entertain audiences, not advertise to them,” said Dipankar Mukherjee, Co-Founder and CEO of Studio Blo. “They’re competing with OTT platforms, creators, musicians, influencers and every piece of content that appears in a consumer’s feed. AI can help us create faster and at a greater scale, but great storytelling still requires vision, emotion and craft. That’s why we’re bringing together some of the industry’s most accomplished filmmakers and giving them tools that allow them to push creative boundaries in entirely new ways. Our philosophy is simple: craft first, technology in service of it.”
The new division will leverage Studio Blo’s proprietary AI technologies, including advanced celebrity cloning and performance capture capabilities, enabling filmmakers and brands to create ambitious campaigns that were previously difficult, time-intensive or cost-prohibitive to execute.
The announcement builds on Studio Blo’s growing body of pioneering AI-led work across advertising, entertainment and sports. The studio is currently co-producing Warlord, an ambitious science-fiction series created entirely using AI in collaboration with Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Shekhar Kapur. It has also delivered advanced AI-powered celebrity cloning campaigns, including work featuring cricketer Hardik Pandya, while successfully executing the Mumbai Indians Women’s Premier League campaign, where AI technology was used to bring together 15 players into a single cinematic narrative, demonstrating new possibilities for sports storytelling.
Studio Blo has also collaborated with some of India’s most respected filmmakers and creative visionaries including Shekhar Kapur, Raj Kumar Hirani, Atlee, Sudhir Mishra, Aryan Khan, Rohit Shetty, Anupam Kher and Karan Malhotra, among others, reinforcing its position at the intersection of creative excellence and technological innovation.
The studio’s capabilities were recently showcased through its landmark collaboration with the Bajaj Group, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Raj Kumar Hirani. The ten-minute film featured sophisticated performance capture techniques alongside the cloning of multiple public personalities, highlighting the scale, complexity and storytelling potential of AI-native filmmaking.
Since its inception, Studio Blo has partnered with leading global and Indian brands, agencies and creative organisations including FILA, Gillette, Foot Locker, Roquette, IFF, Hogarth, Dentsu, Wondrlab, Emirates NBD, LIWA, Bisk FARM, Adani, Schbang, Almost Gods, Nykaa, Kotak Life, L’Oréal, Mahindra, Aditya Birla Capital, Shemaroo, Mumbai Indians and Bajaj.
With the launch of its premium AI-native advertising division, Studio Blo is taking its next major step towards building a future where artificial intelligence amplifies creative ambition, enabling filmmakers and brands to tell bigger, richer and more immersive stories than ever before.
