Mumbai: Zoo Media, India’s largest independent marketing technology network, has announced the appointment of Anita Kotwani as Senior Partner, Growth. With a distinguished career spanning leadership roles at WPP Media (Mindshare) and Dentsu, Kotwani steps into a strategic partnership role to accelerate the network’s growth in the AI-driven marketing landscape.
Kotwani brings over two decades of experience across media, creative and customer experience management. During her tenure at WPP Media, she led growth across key client portfolios, while at Dentsu, she played a pivotal role in integrating creative, media and CXM practices as Chief Client Officer.

Commenting on the appointment, Suveer Bajaj, Co-Founder, Zoo Media, said, “Zoo Media was built on the belief that independents, when structured right, can outperform holding company networks on both agility and outcomes. Anita has operated at the highest levels of global systems and chosen to channel that mastery into an independent. Her entry as a partner is not symbolic, it is conviction. She is here to help define our future and accelerate the next phase of growth”.
Highlighting her strategic role, Pratik Gupta, Co-Founder, Zoo Media, added,“Anita has always believed that strategy without execution is hallucination. Across WPP and Dentsu, she proved she could deliver both at scale. What she brings now is more than relationships, it’s a tested understanding of how global/ local clients measure value and how agencies must evolve in a technology-first world. As a partner, she will embed that intelligence into Zoo Media’s DNA and help us build a network that resets the benchmark for independents.”
In her new role, Kotwani will oversee growth across Zoo Media’s portfolio, including FoxyMoron, The Rabbit Hole, Pollen, The Starter Labs, and Phosphene. Her mandate includes integrating creative, media, data and technology capabilities into a unified growth ecosystem, while also driving international expansion across key markets such as New York and Dubai.
Speaking on her appointment, Anita Kotwani said, “My years at WPP and Dentsu gave me a blueprint of how scale, integration, and client value are built within local/ global systems. But the future of advertising will not be defined by size alone, it will be defined by speed, intelligence, and the ability to orchestrate seamlessly across creative, media, and technology. Zoo Media represents that future. Joining as a partner is a progression into a bold, independent vision. I am here to architect growth with the founders, to embed frameworks that reset what Indian independents can achieve in India/ globally, and to prove that agility paired with institutional mastery is the winning model for the AI era.”
