Mumbai: The biggest hit of the year Projapoti 2 is soon going to be screened on the OTT platform, Bangla ZEE5 on 27th March, 2026. Directed by the eminent filmmaker, Avijit Senn, the movie will narrate an emotional tale of human relationships, generational bonds and the essence of our elderly generation and a complete family in an individual’s life.
Projapati 2 narrates the journey and challenges of Joy, who is a single father to his only daughter and is now settled in London. His single parenthood and the engaging social and work life threw him numerous challenges while he was raising his only child in a foreign land. Despite the physical distance from home, Joy’s values, passions and commitment to family remained deeply rooted to his own soil.
While he was undergoing through this immense emotional turmoil in abroad, Joy invited his father, Gaur Chakraborty from Kolkata to London. This reunion brought together three generations under one roof, unfolding moments of warmth, conflict, rediscovery and unconditional love. Projapati 2 reveals the universality of parental sacrifice, evolving relationships and the enduring bond between a father and a son.

Projapati 2 presents megastar Dev as Joy, Mithun Chakraborty as Gaur Chakraborty and child artist Anumegha Kahali as the daughter of Joy. The movie also has some of the best-known actors from the Bengali Film Industry including Anirban Chakrabarti, Aparajita Adhya, Kharaj Mukherjee, Kanchan Mullick, Shakuntala Barua & Idhika Paul among others. Actress Jyotirmoyee Kundu made her debut with this mega project.
Projapati 2 has Sujay Datta Ray as the Editor, Subhankar Bhar as the DOP, Ananda Addhya as the Art Director, Adip Singh Manky as the Sound Designers and Rajarshi Mukherjee & Jayanti Sen as the Costume Designers. Jeet Gannguli has composed the superhit songs for the movie. Script & Dialogues are by Subhadip Das.
