Dublin: Verve, The Live Agency, has announced a key leadership transition with Founder Ronan Traynor moving into the role of Executive Chair and Barry Muldowney being promoted to Group Managing Director, as the agency accelerates its international growth ambitions.
The move marks a new phase for the Dublin-headquartered agency, with Traynor continuing to play an active role in shaping long-term strategy, supporting senior clients, and guiding the leadership team. Having founded Verve 35 years ago, he remains closely aligned with the company’s vision as it expands its global footprint.
Muldowney, who has been with Verve for over a decade and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer, will now lead the agency’s next chapter of growth. In his new role as Group Managing Director, he will spearhead Verve’s international expansion strategy and build on its growing presence across key markets.
Founded in 1991, Verve specialises in brand experiences, sponsorship activations, and live events, working with global clients including Diageo, Google, Coca-Cola, LinkedIn, and TikTok. The leadership transition comes amid continued expansion across Dublin, London, Amsterdam, and Asia, with the agency recently establishing a Singapore office to cater to increasing demand in the APAC region.
Commenting on the transition, Ronan Traynor said, “Barry has been central to Verve’s growth and is the right person to lead our agency forward. He understands our culture, our ambition, our clients, and our belief in the power of experience to create lasting impact; in essence, what makes Verve, Verve. I’m proud to hand the baton to someone I trust completely. I look forward to supporting Barry, the team and our clients, as Verve continues to grow internationally.”
On his appointment, Barry Muldowney added, “Verve is in a strong position globally, with exceptional clients, talent and momentum. I’m excited to build on the platform which Ronan created and lead the agency through its next phase of growth.”
