Mumbai: Independent creative agency The Script Room has announced the appointment of Shivani Gairola as Executive Creative Consultant, marking a significant leadership expansion as the agency enters its eighth year of operations.
The announcement comes as the Mumbai-based bespoke agency celebrates its seventh anniversary, underscoring its continued growth trajectory in India’s competitive advertising landscape. Known for its storytelling-led campaigns, The Script Room has built a strong reputation for delivering distinctive narratives for major brands including PhonePe, Groww, Ajio and Astrotalk.
A graduate of MICA, Gairola brings over a decade of experience in advertising. Her career includes a five-year tenure at Leo Burnett Mumbai, where she worked on campaigns for brands such as McDonald’s, Google and PhonePe. Since 2021, she has operated independently as a creative director, collaborating on campaigns for brands including Duroflex, Vedantu, Tata Motors, Tinder, Urban Company and Groww.
Having previously collaborated with The Script Room on several successful campaigns, Gairola now joins the agency in a more permanent strategic role as part of its expanding core writing team.
Speaking on her appointment, Shivani Gairola said, “In all these years of flying solo, The Script Room has been my favourite agency to collaborate with. Ayyappan and co. are genuinely some of the best folks in the advertising industry- at their work and at heart. So, I’m very excited to be doing what we do best together, just in a new capacity.”

Commenting on the appointment, Ayyappan Raj, Founder of The Script Room, said, “Shivani’s joining is long overdue! We have worked with her, as an independent writer over the last four years, on successful campaigns for Groww, Nykaa and Tinder. Her strength is a combination of strong ideas and solid strategy. Shivani is an excellent writer and a very good friend, to have her part of our core creative team is a fantastic feeling. I am looking forward to creating great campaigns together.”
The appointment reflects The Script Room’s broader strategy of deepening senior creative leadership as it scales its portfolio and strengthens its positioning as a storytelling-focused independent agency in India’s advertising sector.
