Mumbai: Malayalam ZEE5 is set to premiere the family comedy‑drama film Ashakal Aayiram on April 17, bringing a warm, everyday story of relationships and emotions to audiences on the platform.
Directed by G. Prajith and written by Jude Anthany Joseph and Aravind Rajendran, the film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan and Krishnamoorthy under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. The film stars Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram in the lead roles, alongside Asha Sharath, Sharaf U Dheen, and Ishaani Krishna.
Ashakal Aayiram centres on the evolving bond between a father and son, capturing the quiet conflicts, shared dreams, misunderstandings, and emotional reconciliation that shape their relationship. Through humour and heartfelt moments, the film reflects the rhythm of everyday family life, making it a relatable and engaging watch for audiences across generations.
