Mumbai: KFC India has appointed Suhayl Limbada as its new Chief Marketing Officer, marking a key leadership transition as the brand sharpens its focus on growth in one of its most dynamic markets.
Limbada steps into the role after a successful stint with KFC Thailand, where he joined in July 2022 and rose to become Market Lead and Chief Marketing Officer in 2024. During his tenure, he was instrumental in driving brand strategy and market expansion in a highly competitive Southeast Asian landscape.
Prior to his Thailand role, Limbada gained international exposure within the KFC system as Marketing Manager in South Africa, where he worked on strengthening consumer engagement and localising brand communication in a diverse market. This cross-market experience across Africa and Asia positions him well to navigate India’s complex and culturally varied consumer base.
Announcing his new role in a social media post, Limbada expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity. He highlighted the scale and diversity of the Indian market, noting that the role offers a chance to shape the brand for a population of over 1.4 billion people. He also underscored the importance of collaboration with franchise partners, internal teams, and stakeholders in driving the brand forward.
Before joining KFC, Limbada spent over two years at Mondelez International, where he built a strong foundation in FMCG marketing, working on brand development and consumer-centric strategies. This early experience in a global consumer goods company adds depth to his marketing approach, blending quick-service restaurant dynamics with FMCG discipline.
Limbada’s career trajectory reflects a steady rise through regional and global roles within the QSR ecosystem, with increasing responsibilities across markets. His appointment comes at a time when KFC India continues to invest in brand building, digital engagement, and menu innovation to strengthen its foothold in the country’s fast-growing food services sector.
With a blend of international experience and strategic marketing expertise, Limbada is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping KFC India’s next phase of growth.
