Mumbai: Republic Media Network has announced the appointment of Mohit Dhamne as Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a key leadership elevation within the organisation.
A founding member of Republic, Dhamne has played a central role in shaping the network’s growth since its inception in 2016. He began his journey as Head of Finance and went on to take on responsibilities as Company Secretary and EVP (Finance), before being elevated to Chief Financial Officer in December 2023.
With deep industry experience and a strong academic foundation, Dhamne is a Commerce graduate from the University of Mumbai and a qualified Chartered Accountant affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), as well as a Company Secretary affiliated with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He also holds a Post Graduate Degree in Management from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

Dhamne takes on the CEO role at a time of strong strategic momentum for the network. In recent months, Republic has expanded its core business team by 30 percent, while strengthening its leadership bench with senior executives driving defined revenue portfolios across channels and offerings.
The network has also recorded robust digital growth alongside its broadcast presence. Republic Digital has emerged as one of India’s leading digital news platforms, with 149 million monthly users, according to Comscore data. This growth has been complemented by the expansion of its integrated brand solutions arm, Republic Brand Studio.
