Mumbai: The Hello Group India (THG India), a joint venture between Sony Music India and The Hello Group, has announced the signing of music producer and composer Abhijit Vaghani to its exclusive global management roster.
With more than 7.6 billion streams across his body of work, Vaghani is widely known for his contribution to Bollywood music and large-scale music reinterpretation formats. A graduate of SAE London in Sound Engineering, he has worked on several commercially successful projects including Dishoom, Airlift, Ra.One, Bang Bang!, Gunday, Kaabil, Hindi Medium, Golmaal Again, and Luka Chuppi, whose track Duniya alone has crossed 600 million streams.
Apart from film soundtracks, Vaghani has also been associated with music properties such as the T-Series Mixtape franchise, SaReGaMa Magic Moments Music Studio, and Showcase Made in India, building a reputation for reimagining familiar music formats for contemporary audiences.
As part of the partnership, THG India will work towards expanding Vaghani’s global live entertainment presence, developing original intellectual properties, and creating new music experiences aimed at global audiences while remaining rooted in Indian music culture.
Speaking about the collaboration, Abhijit Vaghani said, “For me, music has always been about emotion and connection. Some of the most fulfilling experiences in my journey have come from taking songs people already love and helping them experience those emotions in a new way. Whether it’s through live arrangements, reinterpretations, film music or original concepts, I’ve always enjoyed building ideas that bring people together through music.
What excites me about this partnership with THG India is the intent behind it. There’s a genuine understanding of where I want to go creatively, not just as a producer or composer, but as someone who wants to build new music experiences, live formats and original IPs that can connect with audiences globally while still feeling rooted in who we are musically.”
Commenting on the signing, Taylor Jones, CEO and Global Head of Creative at The Hello Group, added, “Abhijit has had a real impact on the way modern Indian audiences engage with music. Whether through film soundtracks, reinterpretation formats or collaborative music properties, his work has consistently connected across generations. He has a very clear creative identity and a strong instinct for how music culture continues to evolve. We’re excited to help him take that vision global.”
The signing forms part of THG India’s broader strategy to build globally scalable South Asian creative talent and develop culturally relevant music, live entertainment formats, and original intellectual properties for international audiences.
