Mumbai: Kia India has expanded its association with the Tennis Premier League (TPL), becoming the Principal Partner of all eight franchise teams in a multi-year agreement. The move builds on the automaker’s earlier partnership with the league announced in May and reinforces its commitment to supporting the growth of tennis in India.
As part of the enhanced collaboration, the Kia India logo will feature prominently on the front of the jerseys of all eight franchises—Gurgaon Grand Slammers, Lucknow Blazers, Hyderabad Strikers, GS Delhi Aces, Gujarat Panthers, Kolkata Thunder Blades, Mumbai Royals and Rajasthan Rangers.
The partnership extends Kia India’s support beyond the league itself to every participating franchise, marking a significant step in its long-term strategy to contribute to the development of Indian tennis.
In addition to branding, the collaboration will focus on grassroots talent development. Each of the eight franchise teams will conduct a free two-day tennis camp in its respective city for junior players aged between 10 and 18 years.
The camps will feature sessions led by experienced tennis coaches, sports nutritionists, physiotherapists and sports psychologists, providing aspiring athletes with holistic training and guidance. Collectively, the initiative will deliver 16 days of grassroots tennis development across eight cities.
The Tennis Premier League has emerged as one of India’s leading franchise-based tennis competitions, bringing together professional players while creating greater visibility for the sport. Kia India’s expanded association is expected to strengthen the league’s ecosystem by supporting both elite competition and the development of future talent.
With Kia India now serving as the Principal Partner of all eight franchises, the upcoming season aims to offer an enhanced fan experience, stronger team identities and a lasting legacy through initiatives designed to inspire and nurture the next generation of Indian tennis players.
