Mumbai: Times Network’s Times Now Navbharat has appointed senior journalist and television anchor Rubika Liyaquat as Senior Executive Editor – TNNB and Vice President – Special Projects, strengthening its editorial leadership as the Hindi news channel continues to expand its content and audience strategy.
In her new role, Liyaquat will lead the channel’s flagship prime-time programme News Ki Pathshala while driving strategic editorial initiatives and special content projects across the network.
The appointment reflects Times Now Navbharat’s focus on strengthening audience engagement through credible journalism, differentiated storytelling and expanded content experiences across television and digital platforms.
Recognised as one of the most prominent faces in Hindi television news, Liyaquat brings nearly two decades of journalism experience spanning editorial leadership, prime-time anchoring and political and current affairs coverage.
Over the course of her career, she has worked with leading news organisations including ABP News, Zee News, Bharat24 and News18 India. Most recently, at News18 India, she served as Consulting Editor and anchored several key prime-time programmes, earning recognition for her coverage of national developments, election programming and debate-led formats.

Alongside the leadership announcement, Times Now Navbharat also unveiled a refreshed version of News Ki Pathshala as part of its ongoing content and programming evolution.
The revamped format will continue the show’s explanatory and immersive storytelling approach while introducing enhanced editorial depth, premium visual presentation and greater alignment with digital-first consumption habits. The programme will continue to air Monday to Friday at 8:50 pm.
The channel said the refreshed format is designed to help audiences navigate an increasingly complex information environment through a conversational and explanatory approach to news.
