Mumbai: Kayhan Entertainment has announced the launch of Smart KidZ, its new animated edutainment intellectual property (IP), exclusively on ZEE5 Kidz, marking another step in the company’s strategy to build original, scalable Indian content for younger audiences. Targeted at children aged 7 to 13, the series blends entertainment with life lessons through stories centred on emotional intelligence, practical decision-making and everyday childhood experiences.
Built around the philosophy “Pause. Think. Act.”, Smart KidZ uses humour, adventure, visual storytelling and relatable situations to help children navigate modern-day challenges ranging from friendship issues and peer pressure to digital behaviour, emotional responses and responsibility. The series began rolling out from June 5, 2026, with an initial batch of 5 to 10 episodes.
Unlike traditional moral-based programming, Smart KidZ focuses on helping children arrive at learnings naturally through storytelling rather than direct instruction. The show introduces recurring mentor characters and everyday scenarios designed to encourage self-awareness, empathy, calm thinking and better decision-making.
Founded by Dalbir Singh and Arushi Govil, Kayhan Entertainment is positioning itself as an IP-led creative ecosystem focused on ownership-driven storytelling and creative exports from India.

Speaking about the launch, Dalbir Singh, Co-Founder, Kayhan Entertainment, said, “Smart KidZ represents an important step in our larger IP expansion strategy where storytelling becomes emotionally useful while remaining entertaining at its core. Children today are growing up in a world that moves faster than ever before, and many of the challenges they face are emotional, behavioural, and practical rather than academic. Through Smart KidZ, we wanted to create stories that help children slow down, think clearly, and respond better to situations around them. Our focus continues to be on building original Indian IP that can create long-term value while also connecting meaningfully with modern families.”

Arushi Govil, Co-Founder, Kayhan Entertainment, added, “Children today are emotionally aware much earlier, but they are also exposed to confusion, pressure, comparison, and information overload at a very young age. Smart KidZ was designed to support both children and parents through stories that feel warm, relatable, practical, and Life-skills focused. We did not want the show to feel like teaching. We wanted the learning to happen naturally through humour, adventure, and relatable situations. The idea is to help children become more Self-aware ,confident, thoughtful, and prepared for everyday life.”
At the centre of the series are characters including Anand and the Fab 5, alongside Tara, Darmiya and Saku, who guide children through emotional and practical challenges using curiosity, teamwork and empathy-led problem-solving. Episodes conclude with simple, actionable takeaways designed to resonate beyond the screen.
The launch comes amid growing momentum in children’s entertainment globally and in India, where expanding digital consumption across OTT platforms, connected TV, YouTube and gaming ecosystems is driving demand for culturally relevant and franchise-led content. Through Smart KidZ, Kayhan Entertainment aims to contribute to India’s emergence not only as a content production market but as a creator and exporter of original intellectual property for global audiences.
