Mumbai: Onida Electronics Limited has announced a strategic leadership realignment and key Board-level appointments aimed at strengthening its governance framework and leadership capabilities as the company advances its long-term growth and transformation agenda.
Approved by the company’s Board of Directors, the changes include the elevation of Gunjan Srivastava to the role of Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, the continuation of Kaval Mirchandani as Whole-time Director, and the appointment of Manish Desai as Chief Financial Officer, Whole-time Director and Key Managerial Personnel.
As part of the leadership transition, Gunjan Srivastava, who has been serving as the company’s Chief Executive Officer since February 2026, has been designated as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director with effect from July 4, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval. The company said the expanded mandate reflects the Board’s confidence in his leadership to drive strategic priorities, accelerate operational excellence and deliver sustainable long-term value creation.
In another development, Kaval Mirchandani will continue to serve on the Board as Whole-time Director, transitioning from his earlier designation as Managing Director. Onida said his continued presence on the Board will provide leadership continuity while supporting the company’s strategic direction, governance priorities and long-term business objectives.
Further strengthening the leadership team, the Board has approved the appointment of Manish Desai as Chief Financial Officer, Whole-time Director and Key Managerial Personnel, effective July 4, 2026, subject to shareholders’ approval. Bringing nearly three decades of experience across corporate finance, capital allocation, governance, business transformation and investor relations, Desai is expected to support the company’s next phase of growth through his financial and strategic expertise.
