Mumbai: Warner Music India has announced the strategic expansion of its Artist Services & Expanded Rights (ASER) division, reinforcing its ambition to build a comprehensive music and entertainment ecosystem spanning artist development, management, A&R, live touring, and brand partnerships.
The move marks a significant step in Warner Music India’s strategy to support artists beyond traditional recorded music by creating long-term opportunities across live entertainment, sports, creator economy, sync licensing, and global collaborations.
As music increasingly intersects with brands, live experiences, and digital culture, ASER aims to help artists build sustainable and globally scalable careers while expanding Warner Music India’s presence across high-growth entertainment segments.
The division’s cross-border capabilities were recently showcased through the global collaboration between Sting Energy and Alan Walker on “The Sting Within Me.” Inspired by Formula 1, the track debuted during the Barcelona Grand Prix in partnership with Sting Energy and crossed one million Spotify streams within seven days of its release.
Live entertainment continues to be a key growth area for the division, with ASER scaling concerts, festivals, artist tours, and proprietary music IPs across India and international markets. Working closely with Warner Chappell Music India, the division also integrates publishing, sync, licensing, and creative collaborations to maximise value from both recordings and compositions.
The division has already executed several high-profile campaigns and partnerships, including artist integrations during the Women’s Premier League featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Shruti Haasan, Jonita Gandhi and Hanumankind, collaborations such as Jameson x King x Sanjith Hegde and Darshan Raval x Dubai Tourism, as well as securing Darshan Raval as the face of Sony India’s premium audio portfolio.

Commenting on the expansion, Jay Mehta, Managing Director, Recorded Music and Publishing, India and SAARC, Warner Music India, said, “Artists are building brands, shaping culture, and creating value across multiple touchpoints. This expansion reflects our commitment to building a truly integrated ecosystem, one that supports artists to unlock new opportunities, add value to their careers, and build lasting cultural and commercial impact in India and beyond. Our ASER team is here to help turn brilliant talent into global superstars.”

Anisha Gaba, Associate Director & Head of ASER, Warner Music India, added, “ASER was built on the belief that artists deserve an ecosystem, not just a release plan. By bringing together developing emerging talent, forging global collaborations, producing live experiences, securing sync opportunities and establishing brand platforms with staying power, the division focuses on creating meaningful opportunities that support every stage of an artist’s journey. Our goal is to build culturally relevant platforms that strengthen careers, expand audiences, and create lasting value for both artists and partners.”
With India’s entertainment industry continuing to evolve rapidly, Warner Music India said the expanded ASER division will create new opportunities for artists, brands, creators, and partners to collaborate while strengthening the company’s position as a full-spectrum entertainment business focused on long-term artist success.
