Mumbai: Abbott has promoted Shefali Singh to the role of Head of Marketing, expanding her leadership responsibilities at the global healthcare company after more than four years with the organisation.
Singh moves into the new position from her role as Marketing Manager. During her tenure at Abbott, she has also served as Group Product Manager, handling marketing initiatives across the company’s portfolio.
Announcing the elevation on LinkedIn, Singh wrote, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Marketing at Abbott!”
Singh joined Abbott in 2022 following a stint of over four years at Alembic Pharmaceuticals. During her time with the company’s Cardio-Diabeto division, she progressed through several roles, from Assistant Product Manager and Product Manager to Senior Product Manager and Group Product Manager.
Her earlier career includes a role as Product Executive at Mankind Pharma. Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, Singh also worked in academia as an Assistant Professor at Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions.
Singh brings a combination of marketing and pharmaceutical expertise to her new mandate. She holds an MBA in Marketing from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), along with a Master’s degree in Pharmacology and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from GLA University.
