Mumbai: Muzz, the world’s largest Muslim marriage app, has unveiled a new brand campaign aimed at encouraging more meaningful conversations around modern Muslim matchmaking by placing greater emphasis on the preferences and choices of the individuals at the centre of the marriage journey.
The latest campaign builds on the company’s earlier initiatives promoting open dialogue around contemporary matchmaking practices. Through a new film, Muzz highlights how decisions about marriage are often shaped by the expectations and opinions of others, while the voices of the prospective couple receive less attention.
The film depicts a familiar matchmaking setting in which a prospective match is faced with a series of questions on topics ranging from hobbies and cooking to prayer habits and salary, while family members closely observe the interaction. It concludes with the question, “There has to be a better way.”
Carrying the message, “The marriage is yours, but the decision is someone else’s,” the campaign seeks to encourage conversations that allow two individuals to get to know each other without external pressure, while acknowledging the important role families play in the process.

Commenting on the campaign, Shahzad Younas, Founder & CEO of Muzz, said, “Choosing a life partner is one of the most important decisions a person will make. While family plays an invaluable role in the journey, it’s equally important that the two individuals have the opportunity to talk openly, understand each other and make that decision with confidence. This campaign reflects that simple idea and the experience we want to create through Muzz.”
The company said the campaign reinforces its commitment to making the marriage journey more thoughtful, respectful and centred on meaningful conversations, while recognising the continued importance of family involvement.
The campaign film will be rolled out across Muzz’s digital and social media platforms in the coming weeks.
