Mumbai: Digital agency BC Web Wise has unveiled #SocialRefresh, a digital-first campaign conceptualised for Tata Power that aims to encourage healthier social media habits by helping users consciously retrain their Instagram algorithms.
Building on Tata Power’s long-standing focus on energy conservation, the campaign extends the company’s sustainability narrative into the digital ecosystem by addressing the growing challenge of digital fatigue and the need to conserve human cognitive energy.
Unlike conventional awareness campaigns that encourage users to disconnect from digital platforms, #SocialRefresh focuses on empowering consumers to create more meaningful online experiences. The initiative provides users with a three-step approach — Reset, Discover and Interact — to help them reshape their social media feeds with more relevant, inspiring and value-driven content.
The campaign guides users on recalibrating their Instagram preferences by engaging with curated content categories such as Explore, Learn, Fitness and Art. By encouraging intentional interactions with positive content, the initiative aims to influence algorithmic recommendations and promote more mindful digital consumption.
To support the initiative, Tata Power and BC Web Wise have collaborated with a network of digital creators to bring together high-quality, value-oriented content that is available through Instagram Highlights, creating an accessible ecosystem for users seeking a more balanced digital experience.
